Welcome to Summer! (Northern Hemisphere) And Welcome to Winter! (Southern Hemisphere)
Here in the Northeast USA, it is a hot, wet summer. Time to take a much needed break, vacation, trip to the beach, the mountains, find time to unwind, refresh, and re-energize.
Wherever you go, wherever you are, whatever season you are in, take your Focusing skills with you! And with this newsletter, we have some good news about brand new digital resources that go anywhere any time!
New at LearnFocusing.org! PDF Versions of Janet Klein's Books
I am delighted to announce that PDF versions of three of Dr. Janet Klein’s books are now downloadable from LearnFocusing.org. As part of our collection of resources for Interactive Focusing, we are making Dr. Janet Klein’s books on Interactive Focusing universally available in digital form (PDF) for a modest price of $5 each. Find them on our Interactive Focusing Resources page.
Two of these books are also available at The International Focusing Institute in hard copy in their Book Store.
Coming Soon at LearnFocusing.org - “Focus on Accomplishments” Mini-Course
In our last post, we announced the “Focus on Accomplishments” Mini-Course. In the near future, it will be available at LearnFocusing.org, also for a modest price.
Why discuss accomplishments? Because how to track them, how to celebrate them, how to use them to boost self esteem, and how to recognize in them the positive impact we have on others are all key elements to life forward in the most positive direction!
News From TIFI - The Video Lending Library Is Now Open
TIFI’s new Video Lending Library is now open for borrowing! Including all 71 hours of Nada Lou’s invaluable videos of the Masters of Focusing, and much more, the Lending Library is a genius idea from The International Focusing Institute (TIFI) to make the wisdom of the Focusing Original Masters universally available. Check it out at the Video Lending Library at TIFI.
More news from TIFI - Tribute to Nada Lou
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, as part of the Thinking at the Edge (TAE) Symposium hosted by The International Focusing Institute, a lovely tribute was held, “Celebrating the Work of Nada Lou.” I was honored to play a part in that Celebration, marking 15 years (at least!) of learning from Nada, working with her, and enjoying her friendship.
It was a surprise and delight to receive a “shout out” from Nada during the celebration for my work with her on the project to digitize her collection of “Original Focusing Masters,” now available to borrow from TIFI’s Video Lending Library.
To find out more about Nada’s extraordinary career as a Teacher of Focusing, Biospirituality, Thinking at the Edge (TAE) and more, and as a video chronicler of all the Focusing Master Teachers, most especially Dr. Eugene Gendlin, check out these resources on YouTube.

Available Now on YouTube - Interview with Mary McGuire, PsyD, Co-Developer of Interactive Focusing
Interactive Focusing: Interview with Mary McGuire, PsyD
On April 13, 2024, the International Focusing Institute's Membership Committee hosted the Roundtable of “The Interactive Focusing in Japanese.“ The host of the program was the Interactive Focusing Teachers' Committee in Japan (as of March 2024).
Mary McGuire, PsyD, who co-created Interactive Focusing with Dr. Janet Klein, was interviewed in advance, and a portion of the video was shown during the actual roundtable. Afterward, the whole video was made into a YouTube video with a translated script in Japanese. After viewing the finished YouTube video, Mary McGuire generously permitted us to share it with anybody interested in Interactive Focusing worldwide.
Interactive Focusing: Interview with Mary McGuire, PsyD

Check out Bruce Nayowith’s latest blog post, “Symphonic Reflecting Through Group Felt-Sensing,” posted on May 17, 2025. In this post, Bruce tells us about the surprising power of group listening and reflecting, even when the speaker is not Focusing.
